The Philippines is also known for celebrating festivals since each town in the country holds one. This coming October will be the MassKara Festival held every third weekend of October and whatever date is nearest to October 19 each year in Bacolod City. Even though the origin of the festival is involved with tragedy and crisis, the town known as the “City of Smiles” saw a good opportunity in holding a feast to bring people together and celebrate out of the sad atmosphere.
